Automobiles in German Town Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities stated they were alerted by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Roughly 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they announced in a statement.

Officers state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued substance.

The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then located many other vandalized vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement report early analysis suggest the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no clue as to where it came from; officials are currently not aware of any injuries in association with the incident," they stated.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the community for details.

An important official stated the vandalism made him stunned and required to be resolved rapidly.

"This act strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he posted on a platform, recalling the murder of nine victims by a gunman targeting residents of foreign heritage in five years prior.
